Our journey began in 1980 when we immigrated to Regina, Saskatchewan, where we fell in love with Canada and the vibrant community of this province. Our founder, known as "Boss," gained experience working in various Asian-style restaurants before discovering his true passion for Teppanyaki-style cooking. Drawn to its unique blend of culinary artistry and interactive dining, he saw an opportunity to share his experience with Regina, which had been without a Teppanyaki-style restaurant since the 1980s. With the unwavering support of our family, he took a leap of faith, establishing Teppanyaki in 1993. To this day, our restaurant remains under the leadership of its original owner and is preparing to be passed down to the next generation of dedicated and skilled individuals. Our commitment to excellence, hospitality, and the art of Teppanyaki remains. The word Teppanyaki is derived from "Teppan", which means iron plate, and "yaki", which means grilled. Teppanyaki refers to dishes cooked using an iron plate. Teppanyaki has a vast menu selection catering to many different tastes and palates. We offer a vegetarian option and cater to guests with shellfish allergies.

They prepare and serve right at your table exactly to your liking. Our chefs participate in a gruelling training regime before being allowed to cook for our guests. It takes years of practice and hard work for our chefs to be able to cook and entertain as they do - each with their own style and showmanship.
